The 2008 running of the Camp Steeda / SVT Owners Association (SVTOA) event at the historic Sebring International Raceway was once again a tremendous success. With
attendance up 37 percent from last year’s great showing, Ford performance enthusiasts from around the country were on hand to challenge the famous 3.7 mile full race
circuit for a complete two day period. Ford and Steeda enthusiasts had plenty of time to hone their track skills, see the latest Steeda Q Series vehicles, and also see and evaluate the latest performance
product offerings from Steeda Autosports that are track tested and race proven.
Plenty of individuals waited in line for the chance to be given some “hot lap” rides around the track by Steeda’s professional race drivers in some specially prepared
Steeda Q-Series Mustangs – including the new Q500 with Steeda's Adaptive Performance Calibration. The Adaptive Performance Calibration clearly
showed its utility in the hot and humid Florida weather by automatically adjusting so as to always provide the greatest horsepower and torque under all conditions.
From cold to blazing heat, the calibration easily adjusted itself adapting as needed to the conditions present.
Steeda's new Watt’s Linkage was also put to the test and as expected, performed extremely well on the track. A Steeda Q-Series Mustang easily outperformed other set-ups – even fully prepared race vehicles! Comments from
people experiencing the suspension set-up for the first time were ranged from those that were shocked by how well it improved an already great suspension set-up to
complete endorsement of this new product offering from Steeda.
Many Steeda enthusiasts were on hand with their rides, including René Tercilla who brought out his beautifully prepared 2007 Steeda Club Racer (serial number 2007-032)
that came to Sebring ready for some serious racing fun. His Steeda Q-Series featured all of the Steeda Autosport upgrades one could imagine from the Steeda-Tri Ax
shifter to the Steeda Supercharger, and even including a custom roll cage and unique rear differential cooling system. It was one beautiful ride!
For the annual prize give-a-way, in addition to Steeda gift certificates and other great giveaway prizes, Steeda Autosports donated three sets of wheels and Nitto Tires
shod them with their outstanding NT01 tires for a wheel and tire package that is unbeatable on the street or the great Sebring road course. No matter what the track
conditions are, the NTO1s are truly an outstanding choice for the most demanding performance driver and they proved themselves once again at Sebring.
Camp Steeda / SVTOA Open Track – Sebring is just one of the many SVTOA events scheduled this season.
