APR Performance Announces Widebody Kit for S197 Mustangs

APR Performance's new Wide Body Kit gives your 2005-2009 Ford
Mustang improved aerodynamic performance, and a wider stance for superior
traction. Made from high-grade fiberglass and carbon fiber materials, the
APR wide-body kit adds two inches to the Mustang's overall width and reduces
its drag coefficient to slip through the wind. The six-piece kit includes a
new front bumper, front fenders with wheel turbulance ports, side skirts,
rear quarter panels and gas door, drag reduction rear bumper and a wind
splitter under tray made from carbon fiber.
The kit is made to precisely fit the contours of your vehicle, giving it the
look of a GTC race car and the capability of running wider wheels and tires
for improved handling. The APR Wide-Body kit will also separate your
Mustang's appearance from every Shelby, GT-500, Roush and Saleen models at a
fraction of the price.
GTC-Spec Rear Wing
APR also manufactures a line of carbon fiber accessories for the Mustang,
including a GTC spec rear wing that is available in three sizes, (GTC200,
GTC 300, GTC 500), that easily bolts onto your vehicle's factory spoiler
holes or edges of the trunk. The wing is fully adjustable and provides real
downforce for improved stability under high-speed cornering, eliminating the
Mustang's tendency to oversteer.
Wind Splitter and Front Air Dam
A carbon fiber wind splitter is also available for the S197 Mustang, that
is fully adjustable and creates downforce for improved font-wheel traction
under hard cornering. When used in conjunction with APR's new front spoiler
for the Mustang, it not only allows the vehicle to easily slice through the
air, it also provides improved stability and traction, preventing the front
end from lifting up at high speeds.
Rear Diffuser
Air underneath your Mustang can also get turbulant and cause aerodynamic
drag. To reduce this, APR's new rear diffuser creates a low pressure area
that actually imroves airflow under the vehicle that enhances the
effectiveness of other aAPR aerodynamic tuning products.
Radiator Shroud
Made from carbon fiber composite, APR's radiator shroud enhances the
appearance and cooling function of your Mustang's engine compartment.
Eliminating gaps over the radiator core support, the shroud improves airflow
through the radiator while adding a race appearance.
Carbon Fiber, Raised and Reverse Vented Hood
This APR hood features vents to direct air flow up and out of the engine
compartment. This design can draw air through an intercooler and radiator,
making it beneficial for turbo and supercharged applications. It also
relieves underhood pressure faster than other designs, while the raised
height allows extra clearance for additional engine compartment
modifications and an aggressive look. The APR Mustang hood bolts to the
existing hood brackets and the factory hood latch attaches easily. Custom
metal mesh fills the vent holes, but does not restrict any flow.
